The Last Great Hunt are casting for our next show, Perpetual Wake, written by Gita Bezard and Jeffrey Jay Fowler, directed by Gita Bezard.


Perpetual Wake is a dark sprawling comedy about writers, critics and fragile egos. The character, Fiona West is a confident, upbeat and intelligent first time novelist.

Full-time rehearsals will begin on 22 July (5-week rehearsal period) followed by a 2-week season from 28 August – 07 September at the Subiaco Arts Centre. The rehearsal period will include workshopping of the text.

This is a paid role.


We are looking for a performer to play a female character. Age range 22-35.

We encourage actors from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds to apply. Female identifying and non-binary actors encouraged to apply.

You will be asked to prepare a short scene and monologue from the script, which will be provided in advance.

Auditions will be held on 8 & 9 April between 9am-1pm at the Maylands Town Hall (downstairs rehearsal room, entry off Eighth Avenue, Maylands) and will take around 10 minutes.
